Japanese Language Month @ UP Diliman



Dear Friends,


We would like to invite you to the Japanese Month Celebration of the Department of Linguistics, University of the Philippines, Diliman. With the theme JAPFUN: Selebrasyon at eksplorasyon ng wika at kulturang Hapon, this month-long event will feature exciting and wonderful aspects of the culture of Japan. There will be lectures about the Japanese language, workshops on culture, Japanese song and dance performances, anime and movie viewing, concerts, Cosplay, and booths showcasing Japanese goods.

We would like you to be part of this Centennial activity of our department. If you would like to have a booth to showcase your organization or to showcase your store's products please contact the following persons below:

Several activities are open to different schools, organizations and companies offering Japanese language courses. These are: Sumo Competition, JapTube (a Japanese-inspired MTV contest) and Harajuku on my mind (a Cosplay competition). Grrrr! Ayan na namang kunwaring Filipino, pero sa halip ay Ingles! Hindi mo ba alam ang Filipino ng "celebration"? "Pagdiriwang"! O ang "exploration"? "Pagtuklas"! Bakit ba kailangan pang tumawid sa Ingles para makapagsalita ng "Filipino"? Eh kung hindi nakakaintindi ng Ingles ang tao, paano na yun?
